Hwa Chong JC 8th & 9th Batch (1981 & 1982) Reunion Dinner
Dear HCJC seniors from the 8th & 9th batches (those who joined HCJC in 1981 or 1982),
Time flies and it has been close to 3 decades since you left college! Have you ever thought of catching up with your fellow classmates/team mates from your Hwa Chong JC days? Some of whom you may not have met since you graduated from Hwa Chong years ago.....
When was the last time you stepped back into our Bukit Timah campus? Have you ever wondered what has happened to your favourite hideout? Perhaps a junior 30 years on is sharing the same space now!
How many reunions back at HCJC have you or your friends thought of planning but never got down to doing it because everyone was too busy with family and career…. How about a having a simple reunion dinner back in Hwa Chong? To finally catch up with each other, to rekindle old ties (old flames???) and walk down memory lane….
Now all that is possible! Hwa Chong Institution (College Section) - what HCJC is now known as - will be organising batch reunions (In batches of cohorts, eg. 6th & 7th batches had their reunion in April 2009). Your batch is up next on 22 May 2010 (Saturday), 6.00pm in Hwa Chong itself! The school hall (now air-conditioned) above the canteen will be the venue for the revelry.
All you need to do is just turn up at Hwa Chong! Come with your spouse (better still if she is also from Hwa Chong) to re-live your JC days, laugh at your old pictures, re-acquaint yourselves with long-lost friends, attempt to recognise your best friends, be awed by various shapes and sizes of fellow Hwa Chongians, take a tour of the school grounds, share a 30-year old secret joke with your kakis, tremor in the presence of your former teachers or just soak in Hwa Chong as she is!

Within the site you can also view the pictures of the Reunion we organised for the past batches. Just log-in, register yourself and turn up on that day. We will be collecting a token $20 on that night to cover some expenses. It will be collected on the spot when you register. But if generous sponsors from the batches were to step forward we might be able to waive the collection.
We are very certain you will be delighted to be back. On our part, we will arrange all the logistics including notification, dinner, venue decoration and programme. You can also check out who among your batch has registered on the same website.
Finally to make the event more memorable we need your help to spread the word, to locate, contact and invite fellow 8th and 9th batch Hwa Chongians (those who joined HCJC in 1981 & 1982) to the dinner. Please do your best so that we can build a bigger and more established network for all Hwa Chongians. Just forward the web address above to your fellow batch mates and encourage them to register too.
