Between 2006 and 2010, Hwa Chong students won no less than 18 world championship titles, prevailing over world renowned schools like Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.
One of our students was ranked individual 1st in the world at the 2009 International Biology Olympiad in Japan.
In 2009 alone, six of our alumni topped their respective cohorts at Harvard, Princeton, Oxford, London School of Economics, Shanghai Fudan, and the internationally renowned US Military Academy at West Point.

Launched in 2008, the Hwa Chong Diploma is today welcomed by top overseas universities like Harvard; Yale; Columbia; Imperial College, London; Peking; Tsinghua, and Shanghai Fudan.
Excellence and innovation are part of the Hwa Chong DNA. In 2007, we set up the Hwa Chong-Beijing Satellite Campus - a first for a Singapore School. In 2008, Hwa Chong became the first Independent School selected by MOE to be a Future School. Working closely with Singapore Technologies and Microsoft, with support from the National Research Foundation and Infocomm Development Authority, we are on track to building a Global Academy encompassing a virtual global campus and satellite campuses in strategic cities of the world. Moving forward, we will continue to initiate and envision exciting new plans that will define education in Singapore and beyond.

To achieve the highest levels of distinction, all the school leaders, teachers and staff are empowered to promote and support teaching innovation and leadership excellence both in and outside the classroom. This empowerment is best demonstrated by the setting up of the Hwa Chong Centre for Pedagogical Excellence - another first for a Singapore school - and the school's various innovative human resource and professional development initiatives.
There is no question that Hwa Chong has a deep respect for tradition, and for progress. This was the impetus to embark on our Singapore Quality Award journey as early as 2005. Hitherto, the journey has been insightful and a learning experience.
